Welcome to Raytown, MO
Raytown, Missouri (population 30,388) is the twenty first largest City in the State of Missouri. From our central location in the metropolitan area to our extensive park system, safe, tree lined neighborhoods, excellent schools and broad choices in affordable housing; Raytown is truly a community of choice for residents and business owners alike. The future keeps looking bright for Raytown. Plans for redevelopment along the highly traveled 350 Highway corridor will add new shopping and dining experiences, while additional redevelopment planning is underway in our downtown to restore and reinvigorate the heart of our community. Crescent Creek at, 59th and Raytown Road, is an award winning, new traditional neighborhood currently under construction. Offering 128 new housing units in a mixture of styles and prices, Crescent Creek boasts a pedestrian friendly environment with wide sidewalks, wide front porches and carriage houses on rear lanes. Quality of Life Raytown has a variety of recreational pursuits available for young and old. Our abundant parks offer softball, tennis, volleyball, soccer, shuffleboard and horseshoe facilities. Super Splash USA, a water park with several age-specific water slides, sun decks, zero-depth entry pools, lily pad, and log walks has a wide array of patron amenities. A BMX track draws riders from surrounding cities. Clean picnic shelters, playgrounds, bike and hike trails, a skateboard facility, and a fishing pond are available in the park system for residents to enjoy. Check out the "News and Development Projects" Section for the two budget presentations that were presented on September 22, 2009 to the Board of Aldermen.
