The next EMT-Basic Course, held at Raytown EMS, will begin on February 13, 2018, and ends on June 7, 2018. The class will be held on Tues & Thurs, from 6 - 10 pm, plus, one mandatory Saturday class from 9 am - approx 3 pm. The tuition is $1100 which includes a textbook with online course resources including eWorkbook/eBook/TestPrep practice tests for the computerized testing required to obtain a license, Healthcare Provider CPR/AED training card, all classroom instruction, and liability insurance which is required for all students.
We have decided to continue the 20% discount offered to City of Raytown employees and one immediate family member. (Employees will only be allowed to use the employee discount once and the discount for an immediate family member one time only. Immediate family members include spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law.) Confirmation of employment with the City of Raytown and relationship will have to be provided.
The $275 non-refundable deposit, completed application, and government-issued photo ID are required to hold a seat in the class. Space is limited.

Payment plan/Administrative Fee - ($40)
Collection fee- (min $100, up to 25% of amount sent to collections)
NIEMT psychomotor fees- (currently $35 for skills station & $35 for assessment station; another fee in same amount for each station needing retest)
NREMT cognitive test fee- ($80 for each attempt).
Criminal background check (Currently $39. More info given on first night of class about how to obtain.)
Black shoes or boots
Blue or black EMS or cargo pants are required by the time field shifts begin (approx. 2 months after start of class).
Students are required to have access to reliable internet and a computer to complete homework assignments, tests, & access other online course resources.
