The Liquor License Application is a pdf which will need to be downloaded, filled out and either brought into the Community Development office, faxed to (816) 737-6164

Business License - New
If you are opening a new business or acquiring ownership of an existing business you must apply for a use permit and have your building inspected (if your business is in Raytown) before we can issue a license.
Retail Business
1. You must get a Use Permit and have your building inspected (if your business is in Raytown) before we can issue a license..
2. You will need to fill out a business license application, an estimate of gross receipts (what you believe you will make your first year), pay the appropriate fee and have a picture ID.
3. Your license is good for one year. You may request a two-year license by paying double the fee.
4. Your license will be mailed within 7-10 business days.
Contractors:
1. You must get a Use Permit and have your building inspected (if your business is in Raytown) before we can issue a license)
2. You will need to fill out a business license application, have proof of insurance the City of Raytown does not need to be listed as a certificate holder, pay the $50 fee and provide a photo ID. A copy of these can be mailed to the Business License Department at 10000 E 59th St, Raytown, MO 64133, or faxed to 816--737-6164.

Retail Businesses
Required items for Renewal ( online renewal form can be found here.)
____Most current year-end gross receipts form. You can find it here,
____Fee - Schedule of Fees for Gross Receipts is maintained in the City Clerk's office.
____Paid or waiver Jackson County Business Property Tax Receipt can be found on Jackson County's Website or at Raytown City Hall.
____State of Missouri "No Tax Due" letter (information on this can be found here) or by going on the State of Missouri Website at www.mo.gov
Contractors- Renewal
Required items

_____All contractors have a $50 fee. You may request a two-year license by doubling the fee
Liquor License
1. If you are opening a new store or new area with liquor, you must get a Use Permit and have your building inspected (if your business is in Raytown) before we can issue a required City Business license.(required to get a letter of approval)
2. Fill out the Liquor License Application. The license can be obtained by calling (816) 737-6011
3. Obtain a Letter of Approval from the City.
4. Obtain a License from the State of Missouri and Jackson County
5. Bring State of Missouri and Jackson County License to the City and a Raytown City License will be issued after the fee has been paid.
6. Fee Schedule is maintained in the City Clerk's office.
Liquor License Renewal
1. Please bring a copy of your renewed license for the State of Missouri and Jackson County.
2. Fee - Schedule of Fees is maintained in the City Clerk's office.
3. License will be mailed within 7-10 days.
