Alderman Josh Morales

Representing Ward 4

On April 8, 2025, Josh Morales added a new title to his resume: Board of Alderman. His passion project for Ward 4 is to repair Kenagy Park’s pond wall. He’s also focused on making Raytown a forward-looking city of the future and ideal place for working class families and local businesses.

 Alderman Morales has only lived in Raytown for 22 years, but he’s been a part of the Raytown community his entire life! He’s attended school and church in Raytown. As a youth, he was a Boy Scout and even earned Eagle Scout. As an adult, Morales has given his time to the Boy Scouts as Summer Camp Commissioner, Unit Commissioner and Life to Eagle Chair, Troop 7220. 

Morales’ full-time profession is a Financial Planner and Investment Advisorat Nest Financial, a local financial firm for working class families. Morales has served:

  • Raytown School District – Ford NGL Tactic Team Chair (2024 – Present)
  • Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, Membership Services Committee (2024 -Present)
  • Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, Government Relations Committee (2025 – Present)

 In addition, Morales has also served on the following boards and commissions:

  • Raytown Main Street Association (board member) and Economic Development Chair (2023 – present)
  • Truman Heartland Community Foundation (community board member 2018-2019 and Gala Committee, 2024 – present)
  • Police Pension Board Member (2024 -present)
  • Raytown Rotary Club (board member) and Service Projects Chair (2023-Present)
  • Raytown Planning and Zoning (board member 2024-2025)
  • Raytown Scout Building (Board of Trustees 2024-Present)
  • Kansas City Film Fest International (board member) and Fundraising Committee (2015-2020)
  • Raytown Board of Zoning Adjustment (board member 2018)
  • Our Lady of Lourdes (school board member 2007-2009)

 When he’s not volunteering or working, Morales enjoys woodworking and playing the guitar. He lives with his wife Sarah, and youngest daughter, Emily along with Gus, his seven-year-old boxer, and Leo, Lola and Oliver, his three cats.

His term expires in April 2029.
