Fire District
The Raytown Fire Protection District
is a separate governmental entity from the City of Raytown. However, both organizations collaborate closely to enhance public safety and service delivery within the city limits.
Depending on the scope and nature of proposed work, a separate permit and inspection may be required by the Fire Protection District. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Raytown Fire Protection District directly for information regarding applicable fire district permitting and inspection requirements at 816-737-6034.
Other Utilities
Two separate water utilities serve the City of Raytown; Raytown Water Company and Public Water District #2. Information regarding water main taps, availability, and associated fees can be obtained directly from the applicable water provider.
Every Electric service within Raytown is provided by Evergy (formerly KCP&L). Electrical power will not be restored to a building until all required inspections have been completed and approval has been granted in coordination with the utility provider.
Natural gas information is available through Spire.
Sewer Installations and repair permits are issued through the Community Development and/or the Public Works Engineering Division, as applicable. Additionally, any work performed within the City right-of-way must have a Right-of-Way Permit issued by the Public Works Department.
