Alderman Latrice Thomas was elected to the Board of Aldermen on April 8, 2025. Her passion projects include revitalizing Downtown, increasing economic development, improving infrastructure, creating co-working spaces and expanding entertainment options. While this is a substantial list, she insists “I want to see Raytown as a city with opportunities for everyone and ultimately see residents proud of their city.”
Thomas has lived in Raytown for 10 years and is a 20-year health care professional at The University of Kansas Medical Center. She is also the founder of the nonprofit Imajine Me and co-owner of Priority Home Realty.
She serves on the Greater Kansas City Women’s Political Caucus board and is Vice Chair on the City of Kansas City, Missouri’s KCTGA Comprehensive HIV Prevention and Care Planning Council.
In 2025, Thomas was a Women Entrepreneurs and Influencers honoree. Thomas attends Graceway Church and is active in the community. She is a member of the Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and Raytown School Board Liaison.
In her spare time when she’s not traveling, reading, researching history or enjoying live music, she lends her time and talents to the following organizations:

- Kansas City Health Department (Community Wellness Ambassador)
- Amethyst Place (Encompass Mentor)
Thomas and her husband Michael are the proud parents of five children, with their youngest currently attending Raytown High School. Completing her family is their Shih Tzu, Lou.
