Engineering
The City of Raytown Engineering Division primary focus is to oversee the Capital Improvements program for the sanitary sewer system and stormwater system, along with the street rehabilitation program. The Engineering Division administers construction of City projects funded through the Transportation Sales Tax and the Capital Sales Tax. These projects include:
Maintenance of Streets & Traffic System
- Asphalt overlay and resurfacing projects
- Curb & sidewalk repair
- Street striping
Maintenance of the Sanitary Sewer System
- Rehabilitation and replacement
- Project Inspection
Management of the Stormwater System
- Rehabilitation and replacement
- Installation of new systems
- Manage the FEMA 100-year floodplain areas within Raytown
Inspection of Utility & Right-of-Way Work
- Management of utility company work within the City right-of-way
- Inspections of subdivision streets, storm water, and sanitary sewer infrastructure
- Administer Missouri One Call Marking Program
- Utility Coordination
- Right-of-Way Permitting
