City of Raytown Announces New City Administrator
Nationwide search, internal candidate appointed
(RAYTOWN, Mo.) – The Raytown Board of Aldermen held a special session on May 27 to confirm Diane Egger as the City’s new City Administrator. Egger is the first woman to hold this position and was previously the City’s Community Development Director.
“I am proud to announce that the Board of Aldermen unanimously approved Diane Egger as our new City Administrator,” said Mayor Michael McDonough. “Her appointment is historic – she becomes the first woman to hold this position – which is an inspiring moment for our community. With decades of experience in local government, Diane brings a clear understanding of public service but also a deep commitment to improving our community with special concern for seniors and animals. Her leadership skills and innovative problem-solving skills make her the ideal person to guide us forward.”
A national search started after current City Administrator Damon Hodges announced his resignation on April 12, 2025. Egger was hired in July 2022 as the City’s Community Development Director after working with the City of Independence for more than two decades.
