Ribbon Cutting for 53rd & Hedges
When:The Development and Public Affairs Department's Neighborhood Revitalization Program is working with the Builders Development Corporation(BDC) to build and/or renovate homes in vacant lots and abandoned homes. We work with them through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program(NSP3), a federal grant, that builds the homes, sells them and then the money is reinvested in new homes and property.
The homes at 10617 E 53rd Street and 5306 Hedges were built on an empty lot. The new homes are energy efficient. Some homes have down payment help for qualified buyers. For more information on the homes purchase, click here.
