- What is the Residential Rental Dwelling Maintenance Program?
- The Residential Rental Dwelling Maintenance Program is an ordinance that requires landlords to obtain a permit for residential rental units in the City of Raytown. Rental unit(s) must pass a basic health and safety inspection every two (2) years.
- Who should submit a Residential Rental and Non-Owner-Occupied Permit?
- Any residential property owner who does not occupy their residential property in Raytown
- What is required to be submitted as part of the permit application?
- Name of Property Owner
- Name of Property Management Company (if applicable)
- Local Contact - Person located in the Kansas City MSA and authorized by the owner to make binding decisions. This is REQUIRED of all Non-Local Property Owners
- Jackson County Property Tax ID#
- Rental Permit and Inspection Fees (see application for fee schedule)

- You can begin registration by completing a Rental and Non-Owner-Occupied Permit Application online, or emailing a paper application to aprilm@raytown.mo.us (a link to the pdf form is below). Please click HERE to create an online account and submit a rental permit application online (a pdf with instructions is below). If you are renewing, please log into your online account and complete a rental application. Your fees will be invoiced and available to pay in the portal once your application has been approved.
