Sewer Billing Information
Residential Accounts - New residents are billed on actual water usage $20.63 for the first 1,000 gallons plus $12.69 for each additional thousand gallons with a cap of $96.77 for the first year. Once you have established a water average your sewer bill will be a flat rate.
Commercial Accounts- Commercial accounts are billed for sewer service based on their actual water usage and are also billed monthly. The minimum charge for a commercial account is $20.63 for all usage up to 1,000 gallons. Everything over the minimum is charged $12.69 per thousand gallons.
A deposit for sewer service is required of all new residents and commercial users. The residential and commercial deposit is $135.00. Commercial deposit is $300.00 and up depending on average month usage. The deposit can be waived for one of the following conditions:
- If you had a prior account with the City of Raytown which was active for at least two years and you maintained a good payment history; OR
- You may provide a two-year letter of credit or a good payment history from your previous utility company.
Payments are due upon receipt of your bill and delinquent after the stated due date. Prompt payment will prevent the addition of a penalty and possible water service termination.

To qualifying seniors or disabled persons, we offer a 25% credit on sewer bills known as a Circuit Breaker for Raytown Residents who own their home. Commercial Accounts do not qualify. For more information, please call 816-737-6088.
