The Planning and Zoning division provides all services related to:

  • Land-use planning and development services
  • Zoning regulations
  • Land division
  • Site plan review
  • Sign permits

 

Joint Review Committee (JRC)

The Joint Review Committee meets to review all major construction projects, and provides guidance to applicants in order to ensure full compliance with all laws and regulations concerning constructing or renovating buildings in the City of Raytown.

Note: It is essential to schedule a pre-application meeting with the Planning and Zoning Coordinator before submitting any P&Z application or meeting with the JRC.

 

Sign Permits
Whether you are installing a new or temporary sign or updating an existing sign, you will need to fill out a sign permit application. 

 

Zoning Ordinances
The City of Raytown's Zoning Regulations are found in Chapter 50 of the Municipal Code. Chapter 50 is divided into eleven articles.

 

Zoning Verification Letter
You are able to verify a property's zoning by requesting an official zoning verification letter from the Planning and Zoning Coordinator. Call our office at 816-737-6014 to request this.
